Ms. DeVoe worked for many years with ExxonMobil as the first woman editor on their corporate magazine. Later in life she became an Associate Broker with Long & Foster Real Estate in Stafford, VA. Most recently, Ms. DeVoe worked in the accounting office of Kohl’s Department Store in Massaponax, VA, prior to her retirement three years ago. Ms. DeVoe enjoyed knitting and several types of needlework. She was also an avid reader, enjoyed watching movies, and played the piano and organ. Ms. DeVoe enjoyed traveling throughout the country and Europe. She and her husband spent several vacations in England, Germany and Italy.
She is survived by her mother, Zola Ennis; her uncle, Roland Utterbaugh; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis DeVoe and her father, George Ennis.
A prayer service will be held at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service in Stafford on Monday, March 2, 2015 in Stafford from 12:30-1:30 pm.
A graveside ceremony will follow in Quantico National Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
