Thomas William Beddington

Thomas William Beddington of Wilton, Connecticut passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2018 at age 77. He was born on July 7, 1940 in Glasgow, Scotland to Elizabeth Carlton. During his life, Tommy was an avid golfer and a member of the Scottish Thistle Golf Club. Every year Thomaslooked forward to traveling with the club to play games. He was employed by Moroso Performance and Bollinger International. After his retirement, Thomas found great joy in working at Silvermine Country Club in Norwalk. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs, supporting the Scottish soccer team and working around home. Thomas is survived by his daughter Linda, two sons, Harry and Thomas, sister, May Murphy, stepdaughter, Nichole, and ten grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Thomas was predeceased by two sons, Mark and Steven, his brother, James, his late wife, Mary and his lifetime partner, Margaret. Thomas was loved dearly and will be missed by his family and many friends. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 8 at 1p.m at the First Presbyterian (Fish) Church, 1101 Bedford Street, Stamford. To share a memory or offer condolences, please visit

Every Tuesday morning, the Nine Hole Ladies League was greeted by Tommy’s warm smile, good cheer, and never failing assistance with our golf bags and carts. Tommy we will miss you — our weekly outings won’t be the same without you!
