Ingrid Zeiffer

June 6, 1940January 19, 2021

Ingrid (Zillig) Zeiffer, 80, of Iron Station passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 19, 2021. Ingrid was born in Germany to Emilie (Beeker) and Ernst Zillig. Ingrid married Dieter Zeiffer and the two of them moved to America with their oldest daughter with one on the way. Ingrid and her family lived on a 40 acre farm surrounded by the animals including the cows and horses that she loved.

Ingrid loved her family. She liked to cook and entertain and she was very good at it. She always made sure that everyone she knew received a special Christmas gift. She put time and attention into selecting a meaningful gift. Ingrid was a kind, giving and generous person who was motivated by her faith to help others. She received joy in seeing joy on another person’s face. Ingrid was a people person who never meet a stranger. She knew people everywhere. For a period of time she managed Arnold’s Bakery Thrift Store. Her family says that she was the glue that held the family together. She was a benevolent matriarch of her family that will never be replaced. She will be missed by many. Heaven opened the door for a beautiful lady.

Besides her parents Ingrid is preceded in death by her sister Irene Zillig in Germany. Ingrid leaves behind her husband Dieter Zeiffer, daughters Tina Zeiffer and Tanja Snipes and her husband Greg. Ingrid also leaves behind two grandsons – Cooper and Caden.

The family plans a private service at a later date.

I only had the privilege of meeting Ingrid once or twice. I'm glad that I was able to meet this sweet lady on Earth. Ingrid was beautiful on the outside and on the inside. She talked with me as if she had known me for many, many years. I look forward to seeing her again in Heaven. Our family will remember her precious family in prayer.

I miss my grandmother so so much, there is really no way to put into words the way I'm feeling right now. I'm not gonna lie and say the family isn't struggling attempting to get through this, but we know with time our hearts will heal.
Words can't even describe the way I loved her or the way our family loved her, but believe me, if you knew us or were around us, you had a pretty good idea. I just wish that I could tell my Oma one last time how much you are loved and missed down here. The family and myself know that your in a better place right now. We all have trust in God that he will take care of you because the Lord is our Shepard. We may not understand this right now but we will in time to come.
To everyone who sent the wonderful gifts and food it was much appreciated. Sincerely, Cooper Snipes.
