Born Florence Klersey, she was born in Port Richmond where she resided most of her life.

After graduating Port Richmond High School, she worked for Mobil Oil in Manhattan as a secretary before becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. She enjoyed Atlantic City, knitting, watching the Waltons, and her favorite game shows, Jeopardy and the Wheel of Fortune. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her Grand-pups being the dog lover she was.

Beloved wife of the late Frank Savickas whom she married in 1952. Loving sister of the late Thelma Williams and nephew Bruce. Cherished mother to Sandra Stegura and her husband Chuck, Jayne Cavagnaro and her husband J.D. and Lucinda Calandrella and her husband Peter. Also survived by 6 grandchildren Timothy, Tracey, Matthew, Christina, Samantha and Andrew.

A visitation for Florence will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Casey McCallum Rice South Shore Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at St. Charles Church, 200 Penn Ave, Staten Island, NY 10306, immediately followed with burial at Ocean View Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10306.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society
