Afterglow I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one, I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave behind when day is done.

There are no words to truly express the loss of you. Your smile and always a happy disposition have left an imprint in our hearts and we are forever grateful for having known you. Thank you for sharing our family times together and for all you did to make them better. May you rest in peace and know how loved you are and will be sorely missed.

I just cannot believe Laurie is no more!! She was there for me when I lost Andrew and I will be there for Diane and John if they need me.

There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love. Washington Irving

Laurie was the first person to reach out to the new girl from the UK in 1st period, 9th grade English 1, back in October 1989. My errors in translating from English to American English kept us both highly amused and we became fast friends. We were together most of the time for the remainder of high school, and have kept in touch throughout the our lives. Laurie always made me smile, she seemed to have a knack of lighting up the world around her, and that is a light that will always be in my heart. Laurie lives on in each of us, in our memories and our laughter, for when we think of her, we can't stop the smile that forms as her light shines from within us. Don't stop that smile.
Sleep well my dear friend and shine down on us from above, forever more.

I lost touch with Laurie these last few years. She was a kind and generous person. Always willing to help with anything. She will be missed.

Laurie was the most incredible babysitter to our son, but most of all, one of the dearest friends we’ve ever been lucky to have. Laurie was a constant ray of sunshine and made everything better. She came into our lives when my son was a baby and how she loved him and he loved her. She was simply magical: warm, happy, patient and funny. I can honestly say I have never trusted someone so completely. We have a permanent hole in our hearts. Laurie, we love you and always will.

I have known Laurie for my entire career (nearly 17 years) at MAC Products. She was more than a coworker and engineering secretary. She was a true friend. Laurie was thoughtful, caring, diligent, reliable, positive, and full of life. She was an optimist who weathered many storms in her life. I am incredibly saddened that she is no longer here. I will miss her. MAC Products will miss her. Everyone who she has touched will miss her. She was a wonderful person who was taken too soon.

I met Laurie at Dr Phillips High School in 1990; she was friends with my sister Tanya, so I saw her a lot. Our family had just moved to Florida from the UK and Laurie was one of the few people who took the time to get to know us and make us feel like we belonged. She was always smiling, always kind, always there to help.
Laurie was one of the sweetest people I have ever had the privilege of knowing, and the World is a little bit darker having lost her.
Rest well, Laurie - you will be missed.
Love,
Sam.
