Born June 29, 1922 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late James A. Foster and Belva Rudacil Foster. She graduated from Cleveland High School in 1940.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Foster, and four brothers, J.A. Foster, Jr., Hoyle Foster, S.E. Foster, and Keith Foster.
Miss Foster will always be remembered as a quiet, very sweet lady who always had a big smile.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Robert P. Foster and wife Phyllis, of Salisbury and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 3:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel with Rev. Steve Combs officiating. Interment will be held at Providence Presbyterian Church cemetery.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Miss Foster’s very special caregivers, Rita White and Connie Waller, and her former caregiver, Betty Nail. Thank you all for your special attention and love to Janie throughout the years.
