Evelyn K. Fukuhara, age 84, passed away on May 30, 2018 to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, in Heaven. Evelyn was born on July 16, 1933 in Rocky Ford, Colorado. Her family moved to Stockton, CA in 1950. Evelyn was married to her beloved husband, Frank, for 62 years. She is also survived by her sons, Tony and Gregg Fukuhara, daughter in-law, Carol Fukuhara, and grandchildren; Ashley Hockersmith, Matthew, Anthony, Anna and Evan Fukuhara. She was preceded in death by her son, David Fukuhara. She is survived by her sisters, Lillian Kim and Becky Ollenberger, and her brother, Bill Asakawa. Evelyn was a devoted homemaker until her children were in high school, at which time, she went back to college and earned an Associate of Arts degree from Delta College with a GPA of 4.0. She then worked for the City of Stockton for 29 years as the Accounts Payable Supervisor. She was actively involved in her church, Michigan Heights Baptist Church. Evelyn loved sports and was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers and Golden State Warriors. Funeral services will be held at Michigan Heights Baptist Church, 3156 Michigan Ave., Stockton, CA, on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
