OBITUARY

Audrey Mae HENITIUK

Passed away on November 21, 2019

Audrey Henitiuk (née Donald) 1932-2019

Audrey Mae Henitiuk, born in Treherne, Manitoba, passed away unexpectedly on November 21st, in Edmonton.

Having grown up on the farm, Audrey’s initial career was as a school teacher (beginning in a one-room schoolhouse), although she was later certified as an accountant. Her love of family was strong, and her work ethic second to none. Piano teacher to generations, baker, jam maker, gardener extraordinaire--Audrey lived a long, eventful life, and will be sorely missed by many.

Audrey was predeceased by her beloved Mike (husband of 63 years), infant daughter and son-in-law David Valentine. Audrey leaves behind their children Jay (Geri) Henitiuk, Tracie (Calvin) Vandemark, Valerie (Stu) Henitiuk and Dawn (Stuart) Valentine; grandchildren Jessica, Tyler (Danielle), Rob (Kayla), Chelsea (Greg), Michael, Brooke, Tess, Simon and Leo; and great-grandchildren Alexandra, Payton, T.J., Maxen, Bodhi and Axl. She is also survived by brothers Gordon and Barrie (Vicki) Donald; brothers-in-law Nick Henituik and Bob Douglas; sisters-in-law Eunice Donald, Elaine Donald, and Mary Kelemen; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at a later date.

Donations may be made in Audrey’s memory to a charity of your choice.

So sorry to hear about Audrey’s passing. Our condolences are sent out to all the family. Jim and I used to live behind their house in Graybriar. We used to visit them sometimes and we definitely had lots of conversations out in our adjoining yards. Audrey was always a good friend to us and she gave me lots of advice on my flowerbeds. So sad to know that they are both gone but I am sure anyone that knew this fantastic couple still have many memories that we hold dear. Take care of each other in this difficult time.

Audrey was one of the most devoted and kind ladies we've known. We have great memories of the Choir at Winterburn United Church that she led for many years. Lots of fellowship and fun! She and Mike were a great "team" and accomplished so much in their lives together. Our sincere condolences to the family. We will keep Audrey's memory in our hearts.
