May God bless the family and comfort them at this time of bereavement. My name is Marquita and I was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Harlem. Father Paul was the friendliest Priest I have ever met. He had a way of making you feel comfortable with him and he was always very light hearted and full of life. I was a life long member at St. Thomas until it closed. My 3 children all grew up in the church. We spoke every year on the telephone and the last time I saw him was driving with him to the Salesian’s of Don Bosco in New Rochelle to drop off his vehicle before moving to Washington, DC. I will miss his annual letters and calls.

I would like to first send out my condolences to the family of father Paul, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember living across the street from the church father Paul had Services at. It was in NYC-Harlem on 118 and 7th. A memory I have with Fr Paul was when I told him I wanted to be a usher just like the big kids. I was probably 9 or 10 years old at the time. He said if I get to church early then you can join them. I would ask my mom to wake me up early every Sunday just so I can be a usher with the older kids but I never made the cut. I did enjoy watching them practice and sitting on the stand with Fr Paul. And when the church closed and moved, my family followed him. It is sad to hear that you are no longer with us fr paul but I know you are with god watching over us.It was a pleasure meeting and listening to you every Sunday, thank you

I remain grateful to Father Paul and will deeply miss him. He was very helpful to me and the RCIA Team at Mary Help of Christians in Tampa, Fl. I especially remember his youthful enthusiasm and his wit and I will miss his warm and caring smile. God Bless Father Paul, His Salesian Brothers and Family and All whose lives were touched by this Wonderful Priest.

We have lost another one of the most dedicated Salesian priests who I had the privilege of meeting and working with during his time at Nativity Parish in Washington DC. He was always putting in long hours getting the young informed about the life of St. John Bosco and excellent Catholic instruction through his talks and audio visual presentations. Fr. Paul, May God welcome you to His Kingdom with open arms! We here at Nativity Parish are saddened by the loss, but are so Blessed that you have affected so many lives during your priestly ministry here on earth. Rest in peace most loving and faithful servant. Job well done!
