Cathy Cranstoun, devoted daughter of David and Ruth (deceased) Cranstoun, beloved sister of Lisa Schulz and her husband, Kenneth, and David Cranstoun and his wife, Eileen; cherished aunt of Ian and Amanda Schulz and David, and Nicholas and Evan Cranstoun. Also loved by many cousins.

Cathy was a dedicated employee of Valley Hospital, where she worked for more than 25 years. She spoke often of friends and co-workers that she dearly enjoyed spending her days with.

Cathy spent her home hours doting on her dad and plying him with health food. She loved all things healthful, including her early morning spin class, which she attended faithfully, and her after spin tailgate parties.

She also spent many hours with her nearby Cranstoun nephews; taking them on outings and having them do repair work for her and her dad. As their closest aunt, the 3 boys learned many important life lessons from her, including phone, ductwork, and plumbing repair rates.

Cathy was truly an earthy person. She loved her family dearly, and she will be remembered lovingly by family and her many friends.

We wish her peace on her journey.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Valley Hospital Foundation in her name. 223 N. Van Dien Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450

I'm so saddened by this tragic news. I've had the pleasure of knowing Cathy while we've both worked at Valley for many years. Cathy was always so upbeat and had a great sense of humor. Seeing Cathy in the hallways at work guaranteed a big smile that would brighten your day. She will be sorely missed.
