Denis Michael Kalinowski

Born March 31, 1947, to the late Charles and Marian (nee Cardillo) Kalinowski.

Denis was a proud graduate of Evander Child High School in the Bronx and dedicated his entire career to working as a telephone technician at Nynex/Verizon in the Bronx. He was a devoted member of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Mahwah, NJ, and the Elks Club in Mahwah. Denis honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, including deployments during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Above all, Denis cherished his family and the time he spent with them.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol (née Forgie) Kalinowski; his children, Jason and Daniel Kalinowski; his grandchildren, Ryan, Olivia, Alexander, Sam, and Henry Kalinowski; his sister, Lucille Fariselli; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Rt. 59, Suffern, NY 10901. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 47 Island Road, Mahwah, NJ 07430.
