Jan was born in Brooklyn, New York and is a graduate of Suffern High School. She is a graduate of The King’s College of Briarcliff Manor, New York and also pursued studies in linguistics at the University of Madrid and University of Valencia in Spain for approximately one year. She was employed in the Patient’s Financial Services department and a CSEA union member at Helen Hayes Hospital for 29 years prior to her retirement in August 2017.
Jan and her husband Dayton of 36 years resided in Garnerville, New York and she was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. Jan and Dayton were a devoted couple that shared many wonderful years together. Jan was noted for her wit, laughter and her deep faith. She will be sorely missed by her husband and those that knew her.
She is survived by her husband Dayton, sister Elaine Enger, two brothers Richard Studley and Robert Studley along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY, 10901 on Friday April 27th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday April 28th at 11AM.
