A graduate of Carrizo Springs High School and Southwest Texas State University, Alva brought joy to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, John W. Dorsey. She is survived by son: Byrom and wife Megan,
daughter Dawn and husband Dennis, and son John and wife Nell. She had four grandchildren: Margaret, Jakob, Lanie, and Thomas.
A memorial service will be held at The Settegast-Kopf Funeral Directors At Sugar Creek on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
