A soul of quiet caring and innocence, he had a boisterous laugh, a miraculous memory, a love of sports and beautiful hands. He faced challenges from childhood to his last days, accepting his fate with neither protest nor complaint, meeting each day without expectations or demands that trouble most of our lives. Leading a somewhat solitary life, he occupied himself with numerous games, and delighted in reading a wide variety of books and stories. He loved to cook, communicate with the family cats, and only rarely cheated at cards. Of simple pastimes, a trip to a restaurant, or barbershop, a chance to volunteer, and always a visit to the library, in the company of others, brought him great happiness. The assistance and support given to him by neighbors and friends, especially after the death of his beloved father, were a great kindness that will always be appreciated and remembered forever in our hearts.
Tommy was a special person whose light left our lives too soon. May he rest in peace.
