Annie Helena "Sissy" Hackley-Miller, 54, passed away on August 1, 2021, in her residence. She was born on November 6, 1966 in New Haven, CT to her late parents, James J. Hackley Sr. and Annie Marie Hackley.
She was a native of Connecticut, and moved to Sulphur when she was six months old. She loved her Lord and Savior dearly, and was proud to let you know of her strong faith. Sissy enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, camping, and hiking. She had a love of animals, especially her fur babies, Bobby and Twinkle Toes. One of her biggest accomplishments was when she achieved her Registered Nursing Degree. Sissy cooked on the holidays for the homeless and veterans. She was an advocate for the Women's & Children's Shelter donating clothes and her time to spread the word on domestic violence. Her greatest titles she embraced was that of Mom and Nana!
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Darrell Hackley of Sulphur; mother of her grandchildren, Jenelly Rivera; grandchildren, Shane Diaz Rivera, Abel Colon Rivera, Jenesis Anahi Rivera-Hackley; brother, Michael Hackley Sr., her step-mother, Patty Hackley; best friend, Tina Porter; dear cousin, Naomi Leger Dronette; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jay Jay Hackley; sisters, Veronica Clement and JoAnne Chapman.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2021, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Celebrant, Jody Barrilleaux. Interment will follow in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
