Gwendolyn Ann Bourque Aiken

Was called home on February 23, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born in Lake Charles, La and lived in Maplewood for the past 35 years.Gwen was 70 at the time of her passing. Surviving family members are: husband Armandy 'Chris' Aiken, daughter Debbie Langlois and husband Randy, 2 Grandchildren Christopher Langlois, Stephanie Greer and her husband Zeb, Three brothers Owen Bourque, Melvin Bourque and Terry Bourque . She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Owen and Neva Mae Bourque and her sister Jeanette Bourque Manuel.

Gwen loved life and dancing. She was a past member of the Silver Striders dance team and competed in the Senior Olympics . She was a board member and weekly volunteer at E.S.S.A. / Faith & Fiends food pantry.She was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers please make donations to: Faith & Friends Food Pantry P.O. Box 7344 Lake Charles, LA 70606 Graveside services were held at Highland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor George L Glass Jr. presiding.

Mrs. Gwen and Chris were so kind and attentive to my Uncle Don prior to his passing. I will miss her.
