

Born in Taunton, a daughter of the late Roger and Faye R. (Carrick) Porter, she spent her youth in Swansea and lived in Taunton for many years returning back to Swansea in 2003.
A graduate of Joseph Case High School, class of 1983, she also attended S.M.U. now UMASS Dartmouth. A true animal lover, she was the proud owner and operator of the Swansea Pet Lodge for the past fourteen years.
Amy loved camping, traveling to Disney, and most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son; Raymond Scanlon III and his wife Tabitha of Somerset, one daughter; Rebecca “Becca” Scanlon of Swansea, granddaughter; Sophia Scanlon, two brothers; Richard Porter and his wife Linda of Swansea, Norman Porter and his wife Debbie of Plymouth, one sister Eileen Allison of North Providence, in-laws; Raymond and Carol Scanlon of Taunton and several nieces and nephews.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to her service from 9:00 to 11:00AM. Burial private.
