Funeral service for Opal Catchings Booker, age 89, of Trussville will be Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11 AM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Reverend Eddie Forbus officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband: Claude Nance Booker; Grandson: Clinton Douglas Jones; brothers and sisters: Calvin Catchings, Zevie Martin, Zeffie Catchings, Leon Catchings. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church in Clay, AL and worked at Avondale Mills. She is survived by her Daughter: Rita Lord Of Trussville. Curtis and Son North Chapel will direct the services.

Rita, I took care of Opal for 1 1/2 years at Autumn Trace..Her sense of humor and wittiness always made me smile..I have missed her and think of her often..I'm sorry for the loss of your mother.
