

Mr. Donald Lee Rebman age 88 of Sylacauga, Al passed away at Brookwood Medical Center on June 13, 2016. Funeral services for Mr. Rebman will be on June 19, 2016 at 3PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Visitation will be on Sunday June 19, 2016 from 2-3PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Survivors are his Wife of 66 Years: Martha Grace Jones Rebman. Daughter: Renee & Son-in-law Durand Wagner of AZ. Brother-in-law: John J. Jones (Karen) of Sylacauga, AL. Sister-in-law: Shirley Jo Jones Campbell of CA, Evelyn Heartel of OR. Half Sisters & Brother: Lisa James, Edith Notebloom, Lucy Brown & Albert Heartel. Host of Nieces & Nephews, Relatives and Friends who look forward to that Special Reunion Day when God has promised to wipe away all our tears. Pallbearers: Durand Wagner, John J. Jones, Jon J Jones II, Jeff Jones, Wiebe Middendorp, Kelly Green. Mr. Rebman was preceded in death by his parents Harvey E. and Hazel Rebman of Walla Walla, Washington. He also was preceded in death by two sisters; Lucille Boucher of ID and Barbara Jane Birthalot of ME, Sister-in-law; Ruth Lane Jones Middendorp of FL, Brother; Raymond Heartel of OR, Brother-in-law; Howard Campbell of CA, Five half brothers; ,a half sister; Carrie Galloway of CA, Parents-in-law; John Wesley and Mattie Lee Jones of Sylacauga, Al. He volunteered his life to his country by serving in the USAF in both WWII(receiving bravery Metals during his post in Okinawa). and the Korean War. He was a graduate of UAB with a MS in Chemistry and became a dedicated science professor teaching in Birmingham, Al, Fletcher, NC, and Nashville, TN. His love centered around his home and church and if the church doors were open, he was sure to be there. He was and avid reader and well versed on the Bible and intellectual subjects. He and his wife Martha loved to travel enjoying a number of cruises and eventually visited all 7 continents plus the Arctic.Curtis and Son North Chapel will direct the service.
