Jimmy "Squirrel" Earl Mitchell, age 56, of Rockford, Alabama passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021. Jimmy was born January 10, 1965 to James "Earl" and Alice Mitchell.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Teresa Mitchell; daughter Patricia Diane "Roni" Mitchell (Walt Turner II); and son Jimmy "Bubba" Lee Mitchell (Marissa Williams); mother Alice Mitchell; mother-in-law Rita Mitchell and father-in-law John Mitchell; sister Rose Jefferson (Mark), and brothers James "Jamie" Mitchell, David "Cottontop" Mitchell , and Jesse "Pistol" Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his father James Earl Mitchell.

Jimmy also leaves a host of family and friends to cherish his memory.

A visitation for Jimmy will be held Monday, February 22, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 1:00 PM, at Radney-Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Thornton and Jimmy Lee Mitchell officiating. A burial will follow the service at Andrew's Chapel.

Serving as pallbearers are David Kelley, Timmy Mitchell, Brian Hand, Jesse Mitchell, Dale Britton and Walt Turner.

Jimmy loved his wife, children, and was a dedicated father. He enjoyed laughing with family and friends, playing pool, fishing, his dogs, and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
