After high school, Beverly was a hairdresser. She enjoyed cutting and styling hair to help women look their best. She married Bob Iacampo her high school sweetheart shortly after high school. They had their first child David and moved to Seattle, Washington where Bob got a job with Boeing. After the birth of their second son Dean, the family moved back to Massachusetts where Bob got a job with MIT. After a few years, Boeing offered Bob a new job so off they went to the northwest moving back to Seattle. They had their third child, Donna. Beverly knew from an early age that she wanted a family and children. She was a wonderful mother to her three kids. She was a great cook and often baked homemade elaborate cakes with different themes for her children’s birthdays. As a family they enjoyed camping and boating in the great northwest. Bob and Bev also enjoyed square dancing. Beverly sewed elaborate skirts and outfits to wear that swirled around her on the dance floor.
Her daughter, Donna developed chronic health issues and the doctors suggested a different climate would help her. Bob was offered a job at Boeing in Merritt Island, Florida so they made the decision to move once again. They enjoyed living in a community with canals leading out to the ocean. Bob bought a boat and Beverly made wonderful picnics for their boating adventures. They even watched rocket launches from their boat. Beverly worked at Boeing as an administrative assistant. When the space program slowed, Bob took a job with the state of Florida in Tallahassee.
They lived in an apartment complex that Beverly managed while Bob built a beautiful house on 5 acres of land. Beverly used her experience of managing the apartment complex to becoming a property manager for multiple properties. It was a tough job that Beverly excelled at. After Bob’s retirement, they returned to Merritt Island where Beverly enjoyed singing with Sweet Adeline’s and selling Avon. Bob passed away in 2017 and Beverly moved back to Tallahassee to live with her son Dean. Beverly had a strong faith in God. Her brother and uncle were Lutheran ministers. Church and music were an important part of the family life.
