

Joseph Vernon Parramore, 95, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Broadview Assisted Living.
Born in Gadsden County, Vernon was a long time resident of Tallahassee. He was a 1936 graduate of Leon High School. Vernon was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and from First Florida Bank. He has been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since his early teen years. Vernon was a member of Kiwanis. One of his favorite past times was model railroading. He was a member of the Big Bend Model Railroad Club.
Survivors include a son, Joe Parramore of Tallahassee; his daughter, Beth Kibbey, of Spring Hill, FL; and his brother, Walter B. Parramore and Sue, of Tallahassee. He also is survived by grandchildren, Michael and Beth Parramore of Tallahassee, Brent and Lori Parramore of Tallahassee, Fred and Sherry Crum of Brooksville, Brian and Guenevere Crum of Tallahassee, Tom and Tammy Kibbey of Hilliard, OH, and Nancy and Vince Young of Lebanon, OH; and several Great and Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jamie Cottingham Parramore.
Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Culley’s Meadowwood Timberlane Road Chapel, 700 Timberlane Road. Funeral service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Trinity United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Oakland Cemetery.
