To the family and friends, we are so sorry for your loss. We knew Van from the FLVMX days and always enjoyed talking with him and watching him ride. His prayers at the Rider's Meetings always helped start the day off. He was a true gentlemen and a great rider also. May God give you peace and strength through these days. Van, we will see you again one day.

Mary is my cousin. The first time she came to visit and brought her lovely husband everyone was very impressed with what a genuinely warm, friendly gentleman he was. We just absolutely fell in love with Van. We are so sad to hear of his passing. I'm so sorry for Mary, the girls, his children and all the grandchildren. They will miss him so. He was instrumental in spreading hugs in parts of the family that never had embraced that most basic human need. Thank you Van. You were such a gentleman. We will see you again.

Van was the kindest gentleman, I did not see him a lot but on the few occasions I did spend time with him he was just the kindest man you would want to know. I know Mary will miss him dearly. Rest in peace Van.
