HALL, Laurence Spencer, 29, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Spencer was born on March 20, 1985 to Carol H. Hall and Laurence W. Hall. He attended the Academy of the Holy Names and graduated from H.B. Plant High School in 2003. He earned his B.A. in American Studies at the University of
South Florida. Spencer was a musician and an avid reader of history and politics. He respected the outdoors and spent countless hours in Boca
Grande fishing with his grandfather, father, and cousins. He enjoyed the woods and hunting trips in Florida as well as other states; he appreciated the
stories and camaraderie. Spencer particularly liked watching and playing the game of golf with friends and cousins. He cheered on the Florida Gators through many seasons. Spencer held his family and friends close to his heart. All who knew him will remember his devoted bond of friendship, strong moral
convictions, and contagious laughter. He was employed by Robbins Manufacturing Co. in merchandising. Spencer was predeceased by his grandparents, Martha and Laurence “Red” Hall, and G. Spencer Harden. He will be dearly missed by those who survive him: loving parents, Carol and Laurence Hall;
grandmother, Peggy P. Harden; sisters, Susannah M. Hall, and Jennifer H. Tollett (Jon); precious nieces, Avery and Leanne Tollett. He deeply loved his extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation will take place at Blount & Curry Funeral Home 605 S. MacDill Avenue, from 5-7 pm, with a rosary service at 6pm on Monday May 5, 2014. A Mass for the celebration of Spencer's life will be held at Christ the King Church at 2 pm Tuesday, May 6, 2014.
