Dr. Peter Parrado

85, passed away May 23 at his home, and in the city of his birth, Tampa, Florida. He graduated from the “original” Jefferson High School, where he eventually was a reading teacher. He received degrees from University of Tampa, University of Florida and a Doctor of Education from Nova University. He was the collegium director at HCC on Dale Mabry, and Executive Director of Juvenile Services Programs in St. Petersburg, conducting programs helping children throughout Florida. He loved reading, his practice of hypnosis, his church, and spending time with his family, and friends. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Parrado, his son Peter J. Parrado (Deborah), and daughter Clarice McAllister (Earl); Grandchildren include Madison Camacho (Mac) and Elliott McAllister; brothers Robert Parrado and Adrian Parrado, and predeceased by his father Peter G. Parrado and mother Margaret Parrado. Visitation starts at 10 AM Sunday at Garden of Memories with the service to follow at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lifepath Hopice of Tampa or St John's Presbyterian Church.
