She was like a mother to me; she was so wonderful.  She shared life experiences with me and told me things - how to be a better Christian.  How to be more patient with people and she was such a good hearted person.  She was a very giving woman.  Her smile and brightness of her eyes were like a ray of sunshine.  She will always be in my heart.  She was my earth angle, now she's my heavenly angel.  She was a true inspiration throughout my life and we will meet again in heaven.


Ruby was such a lovely and sweet lady.  I met her thru the JOY Ministry and enjoyed going on several trips with this sweet lady.  

I first met Ruby  through her grandson  Christopher, as we were friends and she was the sweetest person.  She had a heart of gold, she treated me like part of the family and also my boys, Mom and I will forever remember that. I have grown to love her over the past 9 years and I will never forget her! It was an honor to go over to her and talk with her because we both had family in Kentucky, and that was  A great bit of our conversations.
She was a sweet beautiful soul  and we will never forget her! 
To the family, know that she’s an angel up in heaven now with Jesus and May that comfort you now as you grieve.  We will all see her again one fine day.

Ruby was a very special lady to me!  We met many years ago at First Baptist Church, downtown Tampa and reconnected at Idlewild Church.  She enjoyed life in the simplest of pleasures.   She would tell me of the many experiences  with her grandchildren with such joy as we would drive Dale Mabry Highway coming or going to her home!   She always had a smile on her face and never complained.    We shared many mundane times,  but always laughed and enjoyed simply being together.  I will miss her so much.





Ruby was a dear, dear friend and one of the "Four Darlings" as we named ourselves. Hazel Barrow, Judy Seitz, Ruby and myself became fast friends upon meeting at our" In His Image" (widows group) at Idlewild Baptist Church. We got together often for lunch or movies and had great fun sharing stories of our childhood and of course about our husbands. We made some great memories and shared our lives for several wonderful years before Ruby became sick. She did love going to church and went on several Senior trips and everyone that met her fell in love with her. She was loved by so many and will be truly  missed but we look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.
