Thomas Wayne Jones, 80, of Tampa, passed away Monday, June 18th, 2018, surrounded by his loving daughters. Born on July 7th, 1937 to parents Raymond and Marie Jones, Tom grew up in the Tampa Bay area. He attended Hillsborough High School and graduated in 1955. Married in 1965 to Gloria Margarita Valdes, they raised 4 daughter and were married for 46 years. His family and friends will always remember him as a funny, smart, and kind man that enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, politics, weather, and his Tamp Bay Buccaneers. He was a loving husband, father, friend, and brother and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughters Lissette Albritton, Michele (Craig) Cuffe, Charisse Lazaro, Jessica (John) Sites, as well as grandchildren Mark and Alyssa Megias, Dennis Albritton, Samantha, Mackenzie, and Cameron Cuffe, Emma, Benjamin, and Olivia Lazaro, Taylor and Jackson Riggins, Koa and Denali Sites; his brothers Richard Jones and sister-in-law Carolyn; John Jones and sister-in-law Doris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Margarita Jones. Visitation will take place from 11am-12pm Thursday, June 21st, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel. A burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa will follow at 2pm.
