John Hipsher

John K. Hipsher age 88 of Tazewell, passed away on January 19th 2022. He was saved at an early age and was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church in Thorn Hill. John was a veteran of the Korean War. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. John was preceded in death by parents Goble and Esse Farmer Hipsher; brother Luther Hipsher; sisters Mary(O.L.) Taylor, Beulah (Jerry) Hancock; stepson Eddie Powell, nieces Joyce Hancock ,Linda Darlene(Chris) Reay formally of Mt. Sterling, OH. ; great step-grandson Roman Ray Elliot. Survived by Wife Berneda Hipsher Sister: Ruby (Ronnie) Coffey of Mooresburg Stepson: Bobby Powell of Tazewell Step Grandchildren: Stephanie Powell of Tazewell Brandon Powell Step Great Granddaughters: Ava and Kylee Powell Nephews: Dave( Christy) and Rick(Joyce) Taylor of Mt Sterling, OH The family will receive friends Sunday January 23 from 12noon until 2pm in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in New Tazewell with funeral service to follow at 2pm, graveside service in the Hipsher Cemetery.
