Ed was born in Brooklyn, NY to Anne (nee Cressy) and Edward Korsberg on December 17, 1946. He graduated from Levittown Memorial High School, and served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a Seabee. He held dear a love of woodworking ever since. He later attended college and became an ultrasound technologist specializing in intraoperative ultrasound and supported physicians treating patients undergoing cancer treatment. He was a talented carpenter throughout his life, often creating beautifully crafted gifts and furniture for those he loved.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Anne and Edward Korsberg. He is survived by his wife Egilda Terenzi and former wife Deborah Seliger (Russ), his children Heather Korsberg Arvizu Phillips (Randy), Melissa Korsberg Fernandez, step-children Alia Luria, Joshua Luria (Melissa), Isaac Luria (Elizabeth), and Lynette Luria, his twin brother Kenneth Korsberg, his grandchildren Jasmine Arvizu, Victor Arvizu, Aidan Fernandez, Dylan Fernandez, Gabriel Luria, Charlotte Luria, James Luria, Miriam Luria, Daniel Luria, Esther Luria, and his niece Debi Lynn Wilkinson.
We would be pleased if you could join us in a commemoration of Ed's life. Before his interment, please join us at noon on Tuesday January 23, 2024 at the Comfort Suites Sarasota Siesta Key, 5690 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34233. This gathering will be a time to celebrate the memories we shared with Ed and to honor his legacy. Interment with military honors will follow at 2:00 PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Blount and Curry Funeral Home, Temple Terrace, Florida. Memorials may be given to Navy Seabee Foundation.
