Alfonso Chavarria

Alfonso Chavarria, age 56 of Belton, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Jonas Rivera officiating. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 6-9:00 PM Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Mr. Chavarria was born on July 12, 1956 in Harlingen, Texas to Manuel Chararria and Eva Rodriguez Chavarria. He attended schools in San Jose and Woodland, Calif. Alfonso moved to Texas in 1991 and was a self employed mechanic. He was a loving father, brother, husband and friend and will be missed greatly all who knew him. Alfonso was preceded in death by his step-father, Raymond Hessbrook and his first wife, Elida Lopez Chavarria. Survivors include his spouse, Juanita Adams of Belton; his mother, Eva Hessbrook of Troy; a daughter, Rachel Rodriguez and husband Fidel of Troy; sons, Alfonso Chavarria, Jr. of Colorado Springs, CO, Jesse Chavarria of Calif., Oscar Gonzales of Belton, Abraham Trevino of Belton and Richard Flores of Belton, Joaquin and Robert Cordova of Woodland, CA; sisters, Esther Sierraz of San Jose, CA, Emma Chavarria of San Jose, CA, Estella Chavarria of San Jose, CA and Eliska Hessbrook of Troy, TX; brothers, Jose Chavarria of Woodland, CA., twin brother, Alonso Chavarria of Woodland, CA and Salvador Rodriguez of Troy, TX; three grandchildren, Michael Rodriguez, Brianna Rodriguez and Ciara Rodriguez. Pallbearers will be Raymond Hessbrook, Raul Hessbrook, Jesse Rodriguez, Abraham Trevino, Oscar Gonzalez, Fidel Rodriguez and Richard Flores.
