Anne O’Meara Broady was born on March 4, 1918 in Fort Worth, Texas the daughter of Clifton O’Meara and Elty Smith O’Meara. She went to grade school and high school in St. Louis and then went to attend art school at Ward Beaumont Art School in Nashville, Tennessee. In 1948 she married Henry Broady in Houston, Texas. Anne worked as a fashion illustrator for the Houston Chronicle and was involved in the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. She was also involved with the Salado Village Artists, the Daughters of the American Revolution, Iris Society, and she and her husband loved to travel throughout Europe and the United States to visit with family and friends. Anne was preceded in death by her husband Henry Broady on December 25, 1987.
Anne is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Davenport of Rockwall, Texas, Diane Wilson of Amarillo, Texas, Eloise DeJoria of Austin, Texas and Lisa Matthias of Maryland, her son John Blair Broady of Temple, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
