Her life story began on March 23rd, 1960, in Carbondale Illinois. She was the daughter of Billy and Anita Green and the second oldest of 6 children (Katherine (Kathy), Annetta (Day Day), Monika, Natalie(Wookie), Billy Jr. (Junior), and Lance.
Day Day was raised in Gary Indiana and graduated from Gary Westside High School in 1978. She joined the US Army right after graduation and was stationed in Wurzburg Germany. There she accepted the oneness of God, and met the love of her life David Joseph Hillman Sr.
She was a devoted wife to David Sr. for 40 years and a loving mother to David Jr., LaShunnetta, and LaShundaMarie.
Day Day devoted 24 years of her life to her church, United Pentecostal Church of Copperas Cove. She was involved, in the youth department, Sunday school department, music department, event committee, Sign Language team, drama department, and everything else she had the energy to do.
Her many jobs included being a stay at home mom, driving a school bus for Killeen Independent School District, and Media Attendant at Shoemaker High school.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, all things involving music, and she adored her one year old grandson.
Day Day will always be remembered for her high energy, baking cakes, directing the Church’s choir, being a matron at youth camp, her sound advice, helping anyone in need, her passion for the things of God, and praising and worshipping God without reservation. Imagine her “cutting a rug” in heaven now.
She will be easily spotted in heaven ( wearing her white robe with tennis shoes, directing the heavenly choir, or marching down the streets of gold).
She is Preceded in death by her dad Billy; her sister Monika, and brother Billy Jr.
Annetta leaves behind her loving Husband David, her three children, David Jr., Lashunnetta, and LashundaMarie, her son-n-law, Shane, and her grandson, Mateo.
Funeral service for Annetta Hillman will be held at Copperas Cove United Pentecostal church, on August 15th. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00. Her Homecoming will start at 1:00. She will be buried at the Central Texas State Veteran’s cemetery on Thursday, August 20th at 10:00 A.M.
