Reba Kay Hedgecoth

Reba was born October 29, 1950 in Temple, Texas to the late Jesse Earl and Melba Cleo Pyburn Stracener and raised by Vadas and Horace Stracener. She was a lifelong resident of Temple and a member of Heights Baptist Church.

Reba was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed herself most when the family, and especially her grandchildren, were around. She was a homemaker all of her life and spent several years as a substitute teacher in the Temple ISD which she also enjoyed. In her free time she loved reading and writing poetry, painting and camping (in her earlier years).

Reba was preceded in death by her parents and adopted parents, her husband, Leonard in 2005, and a brother, Jesse Stracener, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Eron Hedgecoth and his wife Melissa of Little River Academy; daughter, Shannon Moore and her husband Jon of Stoughton, Wisconsin; grandchildren, MacKenzie Lee, Mikayla Lee, Grayson Hedgecoth, Peyton Hedgecoth, Madison Moore, Sean Moore and Robb Moore; sisters, Johnette Hicks, Jimmie Swafford and Esse Stracener; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
