Vera Brosell, age 84, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018, in Temple, Texas. Vera was born November 8, 1933 in San Elizario, Texas, to Juan and Sandi Gutierrez. Vera and her 7 siblings grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she enjoyed playing outdoors with her siblings. She is survived by one sister Maria (Guera) Munoz, good friend Anna Gomez, as well as her children Tommy Lee Terrell, Linda Christine, and Timothy. She had seven siblings, Felipe, Juan, Pete, Maria, Antonio, Candi, Maria (Guera). A visitation for Vera will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 5, 2018, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Biography

Vera Brosell was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Vera will be remembered as a very exceptional person.

She was the daughter of Juan and Sandi Gutierrez. Vera grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Vera was raised with 7 siblings, Felipe, Juan, Pete, Maria, Antonio, Candi, Maria (Guera). Vera was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.

As a young girl, Vera had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. Vera enjoyed the outdoors, playing with her siblings as a child and raising geese. She had approximately 7 to 8 geese at her most recent home outside of Las Cruces, off Highway 70. In her spare time, she liked shopping and trying new restaurants. However, to Vera, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.

Empathic and loyal, Vera was committed to making her new family happy.

Vera worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Vera was blessed with 3 children, Tommy Lee Terrell, Linda Christine Terrell, and Timothy Terrell. Another blessing for Vera was the gift of her grandchildren.

Vera enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included traveling to Iowa to visit her in-laws.

Vera passed away on October 27, 2018, at Regency Nursing Home. She is survived by one sister, Maria (Guera) Munoz, and good friend, Anna Gomez; children, Tommy Lee Terrell, Linda Christine Terrell, Timothy Terrell, grandchildren Catherine and James. Services were held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Vera was laid to rest in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Simply stated, Vera was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Vera leaves behind her a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Vera Brosell.
