Marian Jean Chatfield
February 28, 1936 – July 16, 2013
Marian Jean (Bloom) Chatfield, 77, of Sullivan, formerly of Sarasota, FL passed away, peacefully, surrounded by family members, on Tuesday, July 16, 2013. Marian was born on February 28, 1936 to Clement and Ruth (Eley) Bloom in Chicago, Illinois. She married her husband, Robert in 1958 and they enjoyed many years together until his passing in 2001. Marian obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Education. She was a teacher and a customer service representative. Marian enjoyed square dancing, playing cards and games, various arts and crafts, and spending time with family and friends. Her real passion was bowling. She was very proud of the numerous awards that she won over many years. Marian served as secretary/treasurer for most of the leagues she participated in.
Marian is survived by 4 children: Deborah (Timothy) Fischer of Sullivan, Michael Chatfield of Erie, PA., James Chatfield (Ava) of Indianapolis, Randall Chatfield of Indianapolis, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, 1 sister Clementine Thorp and 1 brother Robert Bloom.
Cremation is scheduled. A Memorial service will be held at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation 1 hour prior. Family and friends may offer words of support at www.mattoxwood.com.

We will never forget her smile - thankfully she passed that along to Deb, Carolyn and several grandchildren! Our love, thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. She will be forever remembered as a very special lady.

Dave and I played a lot of cards with Marian and Bob when you
were just kiddies. We visited them several times also when they
moved to Sarasota. Sorry for your loss. That picture doesn't look
like Marian did when we visited them, but I know she'd not been

My thoughts and prayers are with my Chatfield cousins! I will always remember Aunt Marians laugh, her love of bowling, square dancing and Pepsi never Coke! I only like Pepsi also! Loved our Bloom fudge. Nobody made it better.
