Oleta Faye Culp

Oleta Faye Culp, 79 of Mesquite, TX was born March 14th, 1939, in Quinlan, TX, to Wilfred and Dorothy Cummings. She passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2018 with family by her side. She graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1957. In November of 1956 she married her high school sweetheart, Charles Culp. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She enjoyed reading, fishing, baking, & cooking chili. She won 3rd place at the World Championship Chili cook off in Terlingua, TX with her amazing chili. She will always be remembered by her kindness to others, and unconditional love for her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles Culp; & parents, Wilfred & Dorothy Cummings.

She is survived by 3 children, son, Mike Culp & wife Robyn of Gun Barrel City, daughters, Susan Chapman & husband J.R. of Mesquite, & Laura Everett & husband Marty of Mesquite; sister, Anna Popek & husband Louis of Duncanville; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy Rose, Justin Culp, Crystal Wells, Jeryn Toops, D.J. Council, Angela Council, Krissy Watson, Courtney Olivarez, Kathryn Morales & Caitlyn Culp; 20 great grandchildren; 6 nieces & 1 nephew to cherish her memory.

Visitation will be Friday, April 27th from 6-8 pm at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell, TX. Funeral Service will also be at Anderson-Clayton on Saturday, April 28th at 10:00 am with interment at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Mesquite, TX immediately following.
