Porter was always doing at church - from greeting everyone on Sunday morning , ushering, to cooking and washing dishes on Wednesday evening plus anything else that needed doing - he was always there and always doing. Everyone loved Porter. He was a real gentleman and a true Christian.

One of the finest Christian men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He cooked, cleaned, fixed things, ushered, greeted and we could go on and on. He was the good and faithful servant that will be missed by all that knew him and all of us at Sugar Hill UMC.
