Dianne Hanson (Volz) went home to be with the Lord, Aug 9, 2019, after a very brief illness. She was born March 5, 1944, in Connersville, IN. The middle of five children she was blessed to have a loving family lead by Edward and Stella Volz, who along with her sister Mary (Jay) Parrish and Robert Volz, preceded her in death. She is survived by two brothers, Donald (Judy) Volz, Richard (Bede) Volz and many nieces and nephews.
This year Dianne celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary with the love of her life, Jim Hanson. They ventured to Michigan for a career with Ford Motor Company raising two children Michelle (Clint) Baker and Dustin (Jenna) Hanson. Together they lived a life full of travel and making memories with their six grandchildren, Zakreigh Baker, Ethan Baker, Alexander Baker, Audrey Hanson, Braden Hanson and McKenzie Hanson. Dianne was an amazing grandmother who made special memories with each of her beloved grandchildren.
Once retired Dianne travelled the country and beyond, settling down in The Villages, FL. She and Jim found a welcoming community they called home. A faithful friend, Dianne kept close to her ‘sandbox’ friends from Connersville, and collected more along the way. Keeping busy in retirement, she took up golf, shuffleboard, card games, and continued to travel with her new friends. She was surrounded by many she loved.
A small celebration of life was held with immediate family and local neighbors. Donations can be made on Dianne’s behalf to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood, FL.
