Services for Catherine Grace Gambino Govan will be Friday, June 3, 2022 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home located at 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas. The service will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception. Catherine Grace Gambino Govan passed away May 9, 2022 in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born in 1935 in Ecorse, Michigan to Samuel and Constance (Sanflippo) Gambino. She was 87 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry C. Govan; brothers, Joseph G. Gambino and Samuel C. Gambino; and her parents, Sam and Connie Gambino. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Laura Catherine Kalish and husband Bob; grandchildren, Dr. Ronald Buczek II, Bri Ussery (Dee); Jordan Kalish (Harley); two great-grandchildren, Hannah Ussery and Carmine Kalish; sister-in-law, Shirley Gambino, and several loving nieces and nephews and their families. Catherine's family was in the grocery business and she worked as a cashier for many years. She was an excellent cook. She would delight family and friends by writing beautiful, heartfelt cards and letters. She also was skilled at sewing and crafts.
