Cathleen J Sheil, age 91, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away on Saturday May 4, 2019. Cathleen was born in New York, New York on May 9, 1927.

She graduated from Christopher Columbus High School, Bronx, New York in 1944. She was married to Denis Richard Sheil on September 10, 1949.

Cathleen and Denis raised their family in Bethpage and Bronxville, New York. After retirement, they relocated to The Woodlands, Texas in 1997.

She was preceded in death by her husband Denis R. Sheil, parents William R. and Catherine M. Johnson, along with brother William R. Johnson Jr.

Cathleen is survived by her children Cathleen Sheil-Hopper of Houston, Texas, Denis R. Sheil III of Wappingers Falls, New York, Peter W. Sheil of Sherman Oaks, California, David R. Sheil of The Woodlands, Texas, Mary S. Williams of Centerville, Virginia, Susan S. McNamara of Burlington, Connecticut, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Cathleen will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00 PM at St. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch Dr., Spring, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Interfaith of The Woodlands, and sent to Interfaith c/o Development Office, 4242 Interfaith Way, The Woodlands, Texas 77381. Contributions may also be made online at
