Dear Big Larry,
I was so sad to hear that Faye had passed away. Your family has such a special place in my heart. I always smile when I think about the time I got to spend at your house. Faye was always cheerful and kind. I remember her mostly working in her beautiful garden or singing while she was cooking dinner. I loved getting to trade dinner from our house for whatever Susie was getting at your house. I thought it was great that noodles counted for a vegetable at your house but not at ours. There are so many sweet memories I have with you, Faye, and your kids. Faye was so welcoming and friendly. You teased me and asked me about my grades way too much. Susie and I spent so much time laughing. Little Larry found many ways to entertain us (sometimes with snakes). Debbie brought the most precious gift.....Eric ( who I looked for any and every excuse to come over and hold). You all have touched my life more than you will ever know.

My heart and my prayers are with you. The Lord will comfort you when you draw near to Him. His love for you is amazing.

With love,
Amy Crowley Driver

Our family has known Faye, Larry and their family for 36+ years. I was always amazed at Faye and all her talents. She could be planting flowers and shrubs one day and writing books the next. Her calm attitude, beautiful smile and love for her family were some of her many gifts. May God bless her family with peace and comfort in the days, weeks and months ahead as they cope with their loss. With Love.

I’ve known many people in my life, but never anyone like Faye. As neighbors, for many years, her kind and loving nature was beyond compare. She always made me feel like I had a second home, when I came to visit. I don’t think I can remember a day when she wasn’t happy and cheerful, often singing as she worked. Many a song was written on the fly about her kids, or pets or really anyone who walked through the door. I know her precious dog, Corkey, was the subject of many, and if I recall, there were several written in my honor.

Lawrence, Debbie, Larry, Susan and families: thanks for sharing Faye with us for many years. She was very precious to me, and will always hold an extra special place in my heart.

With much love,

Danna Shepherd
