Aaron was born in Davidson County, June 6, 1926, a son of the late John William Grubb and Annie Penina Duncan Grubb. A lifelong resident of Davidson County, he was a retired truck driver with Southern Resin after 50 plus years of service. Aaron enjoyed gardening, going to the beach and mountains. He especially enjoyed his excursions to the Lexington Flea Market every Tuesday. Aaron was a member of Oak Hill Memorial Baptist Church and the Men’s Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Lambeth Grubb.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Pierce and husband Dolan and Phyllis Harris and husband Barney; a son, Robert Darrell Grubb and wife Beth; six grandchildren, Allen Grubb, Ashley Grubb, Chad Harris, Joel Pierce, Clay Childs and Clint Childs; ten great-grandchildren, Sam Harris, Jed Harris, Skylar Grubb, Sydni Pierce, Kirsten Pierce, Blake Grubb, Bryson Grubb, Samantha Grey, Stacy Hull and Justin Canady.
A Celebration of Aaron’s life will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Thomasville Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Gary Myers. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County.
