Peacefully, in her 91st year, at home, after a short illness, on Thursday, January 29, 2004. Edna, beloved wife of the late Nelson Ross. Loving mother to Meredith Lashmar and Calvin Ross. Cherished grandmother of William, John, Elizabeth, Nelson and Emily and great-grandmother of Ryan, Jake, Koby, Kayla, Clinton and Jameson. She is survived by her loving sister Ruth Pearson and brother Wilfred Bourne. Edna graduated from the University of Toronto in 1935. She taught for many years at Vaughan Road Collegiate. After retiring, Edna spent many happy years as a volunteer at the Centennial Infant & Child Care Centre. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Monday from 2:30 pm until time of service at 3 o'clock. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Centennial Infant & Child Care Centre.
