It is with profound sadness and enduring love we share the peaceful passing of Gil, after a courageous journey with Alzheimer's disease, on Sunday, December 4th at Southlake Hospital with family by his side. Predeceased by his loving wife Audrey. Cherished father of Doug and his wife Conny and to his daughter Pamela and her husband Danny Relich. Treasured Papa to Sean, Michelle and Bryan, Samantha and Jason. Survived by his brother Bill. Gil loved his lifelong profession and was known by many as the proprietor of Beatties Clothing store in Toronto for 24 years.
Friends may call on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at York Cemetery. If you wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Gil.
