Norman George Lucas

Norman passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 in his 97th year. He was predeceased by his loved and loving wife Christina Robertson (1995) and their infant daughter Margaret Dale (1945). Norman will be sadly missed by his brother and sister-in-law Percy and Dorothy Lucas and by his and Christina's many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his good friend Margaret Damp. Norman's first job, as a teenager, was with the Borden Dairy Company in the accounting department. He worked there until his retirement. Norman was an avid baseball fan and player, playing for Borden's and many other teams in the City of Toronto. Norman and Christina were longtime residents of Newtonbrook and were active members of Newtonbrook United Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Lakeview Manor in Beaverton for their kind care of Norman during his long illness. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 12 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles) with visitation from 11 a.m. Interment Highland Memory Gardens. If desired, as an expression of sympathy, a donation to your favourite charity would be appreciated by the family.
