Gordon Bruce Elliott, was born September 18, 1945 in Manchester, Connecticut and passed away December 4, 2022 at his home in Aurora, Colorado. He served in the United States Air Force from 1962, retiring after 22 and a half years in 1985. Gordon completed two tours in Vietnam, 18 months at PhuCat with the 819th Red Horse Squadron 1966-68, and one year at Pleiku in 1968-69.
In 2000, he started a van service first aid and safety company, First Aid & Safety 2000, which grew to be one of the largest companies of this type along the front range of Colorado. He retired in 2019 as President and CEO. Gordon was active in his community and church, serving as President and a board member of the Aurora Soccer Club, President of the Retired NCO Association, Chapter 39 in Aurora, and board member of the Thunderbird Estates and the Buffalo HOA's. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church and Church at the Creek in Aurora.
In November 1969, Gordon married Nancy and they just celebrated 53 years together. Together, they raised three sons, Scott, Chris, and Jason, who are now married and raising their own families. Gordon loved God, fishing, camping, his country, and most of all his family.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Nancy; three sons, Scott, Chris, and Jason; brother, Peter McManus; cousin, Tom Chaves; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; aunt; two sisters, Penny and Leslie; and a brother, Bobby.
Memorial Service for Gordon will be Friday, January 6, 2023, 11:30am at Faith Presbyterian Church, 11373 E. Alameda Ave., Aurora. Followed by a Committal Service at 1:30pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area "B", 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver.
