Born in Enderlin, North Dakota, to Rose and Walt Fritz, where she met lifelong friends, Patti sang in the choir and became an excellent seamstress. After high school, Patti followed her older sister, Bev, to Linfield College, in McMinnville, Oregon where their Aunt Blanche and Uncle Milo Wold both taught. At Linfield, she met her lifelong love, Bert Johnson. Pat and Bert were blessed with four daughters. They built their home in SW Portland, where Patti was a homemaker until the girls were in middle and high school. She then began her career as an administrative assistant for Portland Public Schools. Pat and Bert loved traveling, camping, weekend waterskiing with the girls and friends, and especially loved spending time with the growing family. Their home on 50th Street was the main family gathering hub for holidays, birthdays, wedding receptions, barbeques, etc.
Patti is survived by her daughters Tina (Jim) Marshall, Lisa (Dan) Smith, Tess (Bruce) Bieri, and Tricia (Robert) Heaukulani, along with her nine grandchildren, who called her Ma, and 13, soon to be 14 great Grandchildren, that lovingly called her GG.
Her family will gather over the holidays to celebrate her life and legacy.
