Joan L. Landis

Joan L. Landis, age 71, passed very peacefully September 6, 2012 to be with the Lord our Savior. She was a resident of Pacific Senior Living of Peoria since July 2010. She passed on from Alzheimer’s disease. Joan was born September 23, 1940 to the late Audrey and Mildred Frund in Norvelt, PA. She has a sister Dawn Renee in Acme, PA. ,a sister Darlene Sprung in St Louis and brother Dale in Texas. Her children include Mark Hudec of Norvelt, PA., Brian Hudec of Pittsburgh, PA., Jennifer Hudec of Litchfield Park, AZ., and Darin Hudec of Phoenix, AZ. Step Children Kimberly Franz of Litchfield Park and Ted Landis of Peoria, AZ. Seven grandchildren and two great Grand Children. Joan spent twenty six years as office manager for Database Systems, Phoenix and before Phoenix was a secretary in the Mt. Pleasant Area School District in PA. She and Chuck were married November 22, 1980. Joan loved animals and was known to stop on the way to work and pick up strays. A memorial service will be held Monday September 10th, at the West End Baptist Church 9101 W. Indian School Rd. Pastor Greg Caudle officiating as she was a member of the choir. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory to Alzheimer’s Association, Sun Valley Animal Shelter and Hospice of the West. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery will be held later by family. Services entrusted to Advantage Crystal Rose Funeral Home of Tolleson.
