It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Mother, Barbara Revell, of Manchester, NJ. She was surrounded by her loved ones and extraordinary warmth and prayers up to her time of passing. She had just celebrated her 70th birthday on January 16, 2023 for which she was honored by all of her loved ones.
Barbara was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in Colonia on Predmore Avenue where she lived with her three siblings and parents. Her love of life, outgoing personality, and adventurous spirit connected her with an abundance of friends and experiences which she held close to her heart. She married Odysseys Fafulas, of Pedino Greece, with whom she had two children that grew up in Brick, NJ. She began her career in 1995 at the Brick Township Board of Education as a school bus driver, eventually receiving her certificate as a Transportation Analyst from Ocean County College. She took great pride in caring for kids on their way to school and enjoyed working with many cheerful coworkers and friends. It was there that she met Richard Revell, with whom she spent many wonderful years together including his family, all of whom were very dear to her heart.
If you knew Barbara, you knew how much she cherished her children and grandchildren. She continuously supported her children in all that they did in their careers and personal lives. The lights of her life, she never missed a moment to celebrate her grandchildren Jaxson, Simon, and Valentina. Their relationship was one of a kind and she was so proud of being their grandmother. When she wasn't making memories with her family, you could find her at the local dog park chatting with her friends, giving out dog treats, and spending time with her dearest Coconut.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Esther and Mortimer Weil. Surviving are her two beloved children, Stephen A. Fafulas together with his wife Ala Simonchyk, and Lauren S. Fortunato together with her husband Alberto Fortunato; siblings, Jeffrey D. Weil and his wife Susan, Lawrence J. Weil and his wife Mary Theresa, and Renee Wands and her husband Steve; three adored grandchildren, Jaxson, Simon, and Valentina; and her nephew Thomas Weil and niece, Alexis Wands.
Barbara will be deeply missed by many, especially her family. She was an exceptional person, friend and integral to her family. We are grateful for the many wonderful years and memories that we shared with her. We will always remember her warmth, compassion and unconditional love for her family and friends. She was a true blessing in our lives and she will remain forever in our hearts.
