Charles W. Davis, 81, of Toms River, NJ, was born in the Bronx, New York on June 10, 1939 and passed away on January 16, 2021 at home. He lived in the shadow of Yankee Stadium on Jerome Ave. and loved to talk about the Yankees. As a boy, he helped out in his Uncles grocery store.
The Davis’ moved to Plainfield, N.J. around 1950. Chuck’s first real job was as a stock boy for Rickel Brothers Lumber in Union, N.J. He worked his way up through the company finally becoming President and CEO of Rickel Home centers. Rickel also sent him to Harvard Business School where he graduated top of his class. After Rickel he pursued his passion in the restaurant business. He is survived by his wife Linda, his three sons Scott, Rick, Andy and their wives Debbie, Pettria, and Tasha. His stepson Scott. Chuck also has 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Chuck also known as Bobby to his closest family is also survived by his Sister Dawn and Brother in law Al and their two daughters Kelly and Robyn.
Chuck loved life, travel and eating out. He will be truly missed by all. He passed where everyone should pass in the arms of his loving wife, Linda.
